How to connect a device to the App in ADB mode
- Enable developer options in Android.
- For MIUI: Go to Settings > About device and tap on ‘MIUI version’ seven times to enable developer options.
- For Android One (Mi A1/A2/A3): Go to Settings > System > About device and tap on ‘Build number’ seven times to enable developer options.
- Enable USB debugging in Android.
- MIUI: Go to Settings > Additional settings > Developer options and enable USB debugging.
- In order to use the Screen density and Screen resolution modules, enable USB debugging (Security settings) as well.
- For Android One (Mi A1/A2/A3): Go to Settings > System > Developer options and enable USB debugging.
- Connect your Xiaomi/Redmi phone to the computer and launch the application.
- A pop-up might appear on your smartphone asking for authorisation, just click on Allow.
- The App will try to detect your smartphone and if detected, the device info will be displayed on the top left corner of the App.
How to connect a device to the App in Fastboot mode
- Boot your phone into Fastboot mode by holding down the power button and volume down button simultaneously until the Fastboot splash screen comes up.
- or you can connect your phone in ADB mode by following the instruction above, then boot into fastboot mode by clicking on Menu > Reboot device to Fastboot on the App.
- Connect your device to the computer and launch the application.
- The App will try to detect your smartphone and if detected, the device info will be displayed on the top left corner of the App.
