Download and Install Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot tools App for Windows, Mac and Linux

The Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools is an All-in-one tool that lets you perform most of fastboot and adb commands without actually having to input any command. It is a third party App from GitHub user called Szaki. It pretty much packs all fun features users will need and more.

The App lets you perform a whole lot of features like locking or unlocking bootloader, performing factory reset, wiping cache, downloading and flashing the latest fastboot ROM, changing screen density or resolution, flashing boot image, flashing ROMs and more.
It is available on Windows PC, Mac and Linux, so you can use it on almost any platform.

  • App Manager - Uninstall/reinstall/disable/enable system apps and services on demand
  • Camera2 - Enable Camera2 and EIS (TWRP required)

How to use the Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot App

How to connect a device to the App in ADB mode

  1. Enable developer options in Android.
    • For MIUI: Go to Settings > About device and tap on ‘MIUI version’ seven times to enable developer options.
    • For Android One (Mi A1/A2/A3): Go to Settings > System > About device and tap on ‘Build number’ seven times to enable developer options.
  2. Enable USB debugging in Android.
    • MIUI: Go to Settings > Additional settings > Developer options and enable USB debugging.
      • In order to use the Screen density and Screen resolution modules, enable USB debugging (Security settings) as well.
    • For Android One (Mi A1/A2/A3): Go to Settings > System > Developer options and enable USB debugging.
  3. Connect your Xiaomi/Redmi phone to the computer and launch the application.
  4. A pop-up might appear on your smartphone asking for authorisation, just click on Allow.
  5. The App will try to detect your smartphone and if detected, the device info will be displayed on the top left corner of the App.

How to connect a device to the App in Fastboot mode

  1. Boot your phone into Fastboot mode by holding down the power button and volume down button simultaneously until the Fastboot splash screen comes up.
    • or you can connect your phone in ADB mode by following the instruction above, then boot into fastboot mode by clicking on Menu > Reboot device to Fastboot on the App.
  2. Connect your device to the computer and launch the application.
  3. The App will try to detect your smartphone and if detected, the device info will be displayed on the top left corner of the App.

How to install the Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot App on your PC
  • Make sure you have ADB/Fastboot driver installed on your PC.
  • Install Oracle: 8 or later OR OpenJDK: 11 or later from the link above.
  • For Linux users, install openjdk-11-jdk or openjdk-11-jre on Linux distributions.
  • Download the Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot tools from the link provided above.
  • Extract the file and launch the .jar file.
