How to upgrade Poco F2 Pro / Redmi K30 Pro (IMI) to Android 11 Beta

Just like the Xiaomi Mi 10 and the Mi 10 Pro, the Poco F2 Pro / Redmi K30 Pro (Codename- IMI) have also started receiving the early developer preview of the Android 11 beta.
The Android 11 update for the Poco F2 Pro is however available via fastboot and not OTA, which means anyone interested in installing this update will have to do it manually. 

In this post though, I will be showing you a detailed step-by-step guide on how to install the Android 11 beta on your Poco F2 Pro. As I mentioned earlier, this is a beta build, so keep it in mind that it is not a stable release and you might experience a couple of bugs. Also, make sure you backup your data as you will loose everything.

How to upgrade your Poco F2 Pro / Redmi K30 Pro (IMI) to Android 11 beta

Requirements:
  • Unlocked Bootloader: Check instruction Here
  • ADB / Fastboot driver: Download Here
  • Mi Flash Tool: Download Here
  • Poco F2 Pro / Redmi K30 Pro Android 11 Beta Fastboot ROM: Download Here or Here

How to Install Android 11 on Poco F2 Pro / Redmi K30 Pro
  • If you haven't unlocked your bootloader yet, then follow the guide above.
  • After that, download and install adb / fastboot driver.
  • Download the MiFlash Tool zip file and extract it on your PC.
  • Open the extracted Miflash folder and launch XiaoMiFlash.exe as administrator.
  • Turn off your phone and reboot into fastboot mode by holding down the Power and Volume Down buttons together.
  • connect your phone to the PC and click on refresh on the Mi flash tools.
  • Download and extract the fastboot .tgz ROM and take note of the folder you extracted it to.
  • Click on select on the MiFlash tool and locate the extracted fastboot ROM folder.
  • Click on flash on MiFlash tool and and the installation process will begin.
  • The progress bar will turn green once the process completes and your phone will reboot automatically.
