Xiaomi Redmi 7A starts receiving Android 10 update (MIUI 11.0.1.0 QCMCNXM)

Even though Xiaomi has the tradition of rolling out at least one major MIUI version update for everyone of its devices, same thing can't be said for the Android version as that is mostly reserved for midrange or most times, high end smartphones.

Xiaomi is however making an exception for the entry level Redmi 7A. The device which was launched a year ago with Android 9.0 Pie has now started receiving the Google Android 10 update, based on Xiaomi's MIUI 11.

As with other Xiaomi updates, this will first rollout for users in China before making its way to every other region. The update which has the version number MIUI 11.0.1.0 QCMCNXM is around 1.7GB in size.
