How to manually update Redmi Note 7 / 7S (Lavender) to MIUI 11 (Recovery / OTA)
Xiaomi has already started rolling out the stable version of it's MIUI 11 to some of its eligible devices and the Redmi Note 7 (Codename: Lavender) is one of the eligible devices. The China, Indian, Russia, Europe and Global stable of the MIUI 11 for Lavender has already started rolling out.
(If you happen to be a Redmi Note 7 users and you haven't received the update yet, then go to your phone settings, tap on About phone >> System update, then click on Check for updates. If you get No update available, then try to update using the OTA or Recovery method below.
How to manually Update Redmi Note 7 (Lavender) to MIUI 11 through Recovery
If for some reasons the OTA update method doesn't work for you, then you can try out the Recovery method.
If you still have the stock recovery on your phone then try out the first method, nut if you have custom Twrp installed, then use the second method.

How to manually Update Redmi Note 7 / 7S to MIUI 11 through OTA
- Download the MIUI 11 OTA zip file for Redmi Note 7 from the link below.
- Copy the OTA file to your phone’s internal storage.
- Go to your phone Settings >> About Phone >> System Update.
- Tap the MIUI logo for 10 times continuously.
- Click on the three vertical dots on the top right corner to open the menu and select “Choose Update Package”.
- Your file manager will then open, locate the ROM zip file you downloaded and select it.
- Tap on reboot to apply the MIUI 11 update on your Xiaomi Phone.
- Your phone will then reboot and the update process will start automatically.

How to manually Update Redmi Note 7 (Lavender) to MIUI 11 through Recovery

How to flash MIUI 11 Update on Redmi Note 7 with Stock Recovery
- Download the Recovery ROM from the link below and rename it to update.zip
- Copy the downloaded file to the root of your phone's internal storage.
- Turn off your phone.
- Reboot to recovery mode by pressing both the Power button and Volume Up button together.
- Navigate with your Volume up and down button, and use the power button for selecting an option.
- Select install update.zip and the update process will begin.
- Your phone will reboot once completed, but if it doesn't, just manually select reboot from the options.
How to flash MIUI 11 Update on Redmi Note 7 with Twrp Recovery
- Make sure you have Twrp recovery installed or check the procedure HERE.
- Download the Recovery MIUI 11 firmware for Redmi Note 7 from the LINK below.
- Copy the downloaded file to your phone's internal storage.
- Turn off your phone.
- Reboot to recovery mode by pressing both the Power up and Volume up button together.
- wipe system, data and cache but it is not compulsory (You will loose your files if you do so).
- Go back and click on install.
- Select the recovery ROM file you downloaded earlier and swipe right to begin the installation process.
- Once the installation is completed, your phone will reboot automatically.
- In case it doesn't reboot, just manually select reboot from the options.
