How to Enable Camera2 API on Xiaomi / Redmi phones on MIUI 10 or MIUI 11
In other to get the best image quality out of your smartphone, it is almost compulsory to have Google Camera also known as GCam installed. GCam is the default camera App of the Pixel line up of smartphones and it is hugely responsible for the amazing camera quality of the Pixel devices.
GCam is officially available for just the Pixel phones as the App is not open source but a couple of Devs have managed to Modify the App and make it available to a whole lot of other smartphones. However, in other to use GCam on your smartphone, Camera2 API must be enabled on your smartphone.
Camera2 API is enabled by default on a whole lot of modern smartphones but there are still some older devices that doesn't have it enabled by default. I recently posted a guide on how to enable Camera2 API on Xiaomi phones running MIUI 10 or MIUI 11 without root, but in case that method didn't work for you, here is another method to enable camera2 API on your Xiaomi or Redmi smartphone. This will also work on either MIUI 10 or MIUI 11 but the only difference is that this particular method requires root permission.
