How to download and Install OrangeFox Twrp V3.3.1 for Xiaomi Redmi 8 (Olive)

Stock recoveries are always limited in features and they ultimately limit what you can do on your smartphone, and that is one of the reasons why we do install custom recoveries on our smartphones for more added features.
The Redmi 8 recently received its own official Twrp recovery and as most of us already know, Twrp has a lot more functions and features compared to stock Mi recovery, like ability to flash unofficial firmwares, custom ROMs and more.

Now, an XDA users who goes by the name Altsec has just ported an unofficial Orangefox custom recovery for the Redmi 8. OrangeFox is based on the popular Twrp recovery but with a whole lot more features.

Features of OrangeFox
  • Supports Treble and non-Treble ROMs
  • Increased compatibility with TWRP
  • Updated with latest TWRP commits
  • Built-in support for installing init.d functionality
  • Built-in support for installing Magisk
  • AromaFM
  • White Flashlight
  • Password, torch, led
  • Support for Miui and Custom ROMs
  • Better language support
  • Optimized versions of community scripts
  • Fox theme engine:
    – choice of themes (black, dark, etc)
    – choice of color scheme
    – choice of splash-screens
  • Alternative lockscreen
  • And many more!
