Xiaomi launches the Redmi Band at just $14

The Xiaomi's Mi band is currently the world's second best selling wearable band after the Apple series watch and this is mostly due to the company's affordable pricing. Now Xiaomi has just launched an even cheaper band under its Redmi sub-brand and it is known as the Redmi band.
The Redmi band is a very affordable fitness band with all the features you will expect from even a more expensive band. It comes with a 1.08-inch OLED panel touch screen display which is a bit larger than the 0.95 inch on the Mi band 4. It also has a flat glass above the screen and it gives you 72 watch faces to choose from.

The band is packed with features like optical heart rate sensor, step counter, sleep tracker, sedimentary mode, 5 sport modes activity tracker and it has water resistance of up to 5 ATM which means you can swim with it.
The battery life of the Redmi band is rated for 14 days by Xiaomi which is pretty low compared to the Mi band 4 which is rated to 20 days, but the battery is still great nonetheless. Charging the Redmi band from zero to 100 will take just two hours and unlike the Xiaomi Mi band that requires a proprietary charger, the Redmi band uses a regular USB connector.

The Redmi band is already available for pre-order and expected to go on sale in China on April 9 at a starting price of CNY 95 which is around $14 or €13. It will be available in Black, Blue, Red and Brown colour options.
