 The Redmi Note 6 Pro is a 2018 Xiaomi smartphone that was launched back then in 2018 with the Android 8.1 (Oreo) based MIUI 10. Last year, the device was among those that were updated to Xiaomi's MIUI 11 and the Android version was also updated to Android 9.0 Pie.

A lot of rumours have been flying around that the Redmi Note 6 Pro will definitely be among the list of devices to be updated to the new MIUI 12 from Xiaomi. Even though a whole lot of Xiaomi and Redmi devices are already getting the new MIUI 12 update, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is however still stuck on last year's MIUI 11.

Xiaomi recently just released a new software update for the Redmi note 6 pro and it is yet another Global stable MIUI 11 update. The update is also still stuck on Android 9.0 Pie and it comes with the software version number V11.0.5.0.PEKMIXM.

The new update chnagelog doesn't really say much other than the fact that there is an improved system stability and lag has also been reduced. At the moment, we don't know when the stable MIUI 12 update for Redmi Note 6 Pro will be available.

How to Manually check for and Install MIUI 11 OTA update on Redmi Note 6 Pro

• Go to settings.
• Tap on About phone >> System update.
  

• click on Check for updates.
  
• If you get No update available, then you have to either wait for the update to show up on your phone or download the ROM from the links below and follow the instructions HERE.to manually install the update.
