 The entry level Xiaomi Redmi 9 is also among the list of Xiaomi smartphones that are yet to receive the Global stable MIUI 12. The Redmi 9 was launched earlier this year, exactly June 2020 and it ran on Android 10 based on MIUI 11.

You will think the Redmi 9 will be among the first to receive the MIUI 12 update since it it still a very new device, but unfortunately that is not the case. The latest Global stable MIUI 11 for Redmi 9 is comes with the version number 11.0.7.0.QJCMIXM. There isn't much changes in this new update other than bug fixes and improved performance. How to Manually check for OTA update on your Redmi 9
Not all Redmi 9 users are getting the new MIUI 11 update yet. You can however still check to know if the update is available for your own device yet by following the instruction below.

• Go to settings.
• Tap on About phone >> System update.
  

• click on Check for updates.
  
• If you get No update available, then you have to either wait for the update to show up on your phone or download the ROM from the links below and follow the instructions HERE.to manually install the update.
