Update - 28th of April 2021: A new MIUI 12 Android 10 based update is now available for the European users of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S / 9 Pro Curtana. This new update has the build version number V12.0.4.0.QJWEUXM and it comes with the March 2021 Android security patch.

Update January 24 2021: A new EEA (Europe) stable MIUI 12 update has just started rolling out for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, also known as the Redmi Note 9 Pro (Curtana). This new update comes with the build version number V12.0.3.0.QJWEUXM and it includes the January 2021 Android security patch.

 The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, also known as the Redmi Note 9 Pro in India (codename: ) have now started receiving the stable MIUI 12 update in Europe. This is coming after the stable MIUI 12 update already got rolled out for users in Russia and India.

The new EEA (Europe) stable MIUI 12 update for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S comes with the build version number V12.0.1.0.QJWEUXM.  It runs on Google Android, it packs a whole lot of MIUI 12 exclusive features and many more. Below is the full changelog.

Control Center

  • New: Swipe down from the upper left corner to open Notification shade and from the upper right corner to open Control center
  • Optimization: Control center layout in landscape mode

System

  • Fix: Home screen went black and started flashing after unlocking in some cases
  • Updated Android Security Patch to October 2020. Increased system security.
Phone
  • Fix: UI elements for accepting calls weren't displayed in some cases

Lock Screen

  • Fix: Custom signature didn't appear on the Lock screen

Status bar, Notification shade

  • Fix: Status bar wasn't displayed correctly with color inversion

Camera

  • New: New Pro mode features and descriptions
  


How to Manually check for MIUI 12 OTA update on your Xiaomi phone

  • Go to settings.
  • Tap on About phone >> Software Update
  • Tap on the MIUI 11 Logo in the middle of the screen 10 times.
  • After that, tap on the three dots at the top right corner of the screen.
  • Tap on update settings and turn on Receive updates early.
  • After that, Go back and tap on Check for updates.
  • If you get No update available, then you have to either wait for the update to show up on your phone or download the ROM from the links below and follow the instructions HERE.to manually install the update.
