Update - 28th of April 2021: The global version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S Curtana is getting a new global stable MIUI 12 update with the build version number V12.0.6.0.QJWMIXM and the March 2021 Android security patch.

Update January 24 2021: The Global version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has just started receiving a new stable MIUI 12 update with the build version number V12.0.3.0.QJWMIXM. There isn't really much changes here other than the new January 2021 Android security patch.

A new EEA (Europe) stable MIUI 12 update has just started rolling out for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, also known as the Redmi Note 9 Pro (Curtana). This new update comes with the build version number V12.0.3.0.QJWEUXM and it includes the January 2021 Android security patch.

 The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, which is also known as the Redmi Note 9 Pro in India (Codename: Curtana) has just started receiving a new Global stable MIUI 12 update.. This isn't actually the first MIUI 12 based update for the device, so users shouldn't really expect much changes.

The new Global stable MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 9S is based on Google's Android 10 operating system and it comes with the build version number V12.0.2.0.QJWMIXM. A few bug fixes have been made with this new update and the security patch has been updated to the October 2020 Android security patch.

How to Manually check for MIUI 12 OTA update on your Xiaomi phone

  • Go to settings.
  • Tap on About phone >> Software Update
  • Tap on the MIUI 11 Logo in the middle of the screen 10 times.
  • After that, tap on the three dots at the top right corner of the screen.
  • Tap on update settings and turn on Receive updates early.
  • After that, Go back and tap on Check for updates.
  • If you get No update available, then you have to either wait for the update to show up on your phone or download the ROM from the links below and follow the instructions HERE.to manually install the update.
