Download AOSP Extended 8.0 (Android 11) custom ROM for Poco F1 (Beryllium)

Google already released the stable Android 11 for its eligible Pixel smartphones and a couple of other smartphone manufacturers have also joined in. The OS is however still pretty new and there are still a whole lot of devices yet to receive the update.

The Poco F1 (Codename: Beryllium) was launched back then in August of 2018 with the Google Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The phone was later updated to Android 9.0 Pie in 2019 and eventually got the Android 10 update a few months ago. This simply means that Xiaomi might not include the Poco F1 in the list of eligible devices to receive the Android 11 update.

The good news for Poco F1 users however is that a couple of Devs are already working on an Android 11 based custom ROM and at the moment, we already have an unofficial AOSP Extended ROM for the Poco F1.

The new AOSP Extended 8.0 custom ROM for Poco F1 is based on Google Android 11 with all the new standard features as well as the latest November 2020 Google Android security patch. Below is the full changelog as well as the installation guidelines.

Changelog AEX 8.0 for Beryllium:

• Added Battery Styles
• Added Lock screen customisations
• Switched back to 2 rom QS panel
• Added back navigation bar options
• Added System Wide Dolby
• Switched TO User Build
• Selinux Enforcing
• CTS should pass by default

How to install:

• Download the ROM and firmware files from the links provided below
• Copy the downloaded files to your phone's internal storage
• Make sure you have a custom recovery installed or install Twrp for Beryllium from the link below
• Reboot to recovery

• Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache
• Flash the latest Android 10 Q firmware
• Flash the AEX ROM
• Wipe cache
• Then Reboot to system
• First boot will take a few minutes, so have to be patient
