Download Global stable MIUI 12 for Xiaomi Mi 8 (Dipper) [V12.0.1.0.QEAMIXM]

 The Xiaomi Mi 8 (Codename: Dipper) has also finally joined the list of Xiaomi smartphones receiving the latest MIUI 12 update. This time, it is the Global stable version of the MIUI 12 and it has already started rolling out to some users via OTA.

The latest Global stable MIUI 12 update for the Mi 8 is based on Google Android 10 and this is the first build. It comes with the build version number V12.0.1.0.QEAMIXM users should expect all the new features of MIUI 12 as well as some other improvements. The security patch is however still stuck on September 2020 Google Android security patch which is a bit old.

• Fix: Status bar colors weren't displayed correctly in the Dark mode

• New: Swipe down from the upper left corner to open Notification shade and from the upper right corner to open Control center

System

• Fix: Home screen went black and started flashing after unlocking in some cases
• Updated Android Security Patch to September 2020. Increased system security.

• Fix: UI elements for accepting calls weren't displayed in some cases

• Fix: Custom signature didn't appear on the Lock screen

Status bar, Notification shade

• Fix: Status bar wasn't displayed correctly with color inversion

How to Manually check for MIUI 12 OTA update on your Xiaomi phone

• Go to settings.
• Tap on About phone >> Software Update
  

• Tap on the MIUI 11 Logo in the middle of the screen 10 times.
• After that, tap on the three dots at the top right corner of the screen.
• Tap on update settings and turn on Receive updates early.
  

• After that, Go back and tap on Check for updates.
  

• If you get No update available, then you have to either wait for the update to show up on your phone or download the ROM from the links below and follow the instructions HERE.to manually install the update.
