Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / Note 5 Pro (Whyred) starts receiving stable MIUI 10 update based on Andriod 9 Pie

In March of this year, Xiaomi kicked off the Android 9 Pie beta program for Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / Note 5 pro. The program was opened to all Redmi Note 5 Pro users in India and all other countries who were interested in being a beta tester. Now, after a couple of beta updates and major improvements, the stable version of the Android 9 Pie have started rolling out for all Redmi Note 5 Pro (Whyred) users globally.
The phone was released running on the MIUI 9.2 out of the box and it was based on Android 7.1 Nougat. It later got updated to MIUI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo back in June and it also got the MIUI 10 update in December of the same year but it was also based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Now a new MIUI 10 ROM is being rolled out to the Redmi Note 5 pro and it's based on Android 9 Pie.

The update is 1.6GB in size and it comes with the build number MIUI 10.3.1.0.PEIMIXM. It includes the May Android security patch as well as new features like System wide dark mode, new charging animation and face unlock support for app lock. The update is currently being rolled out in stages so it might take sometime before all users gets the update.
