Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro (Tulip) now receiving stable Android 9 Pie

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 6 Pro (codename: Tuip) in India in September of 2018 and it was powered by MIUI 9 out of the box and that was based on the Android 8.1 Oreo. Even though the Redmi Note 6 Pro got the MIUI 10 update in December of the same year, the update was still based on the same Android 8.1 Oreo. Now, the device have started receiving the Android Pie update.
In February of this year, Xiaomi kicked off the Android 9 Pie Beta program for Redmi Note 6 Pro users in India and globally who were ready to be beta testers. Now, after different beta stages and bug fixes, the stable Android 9 Pie update for Redmi Note 6 Pro has started rolling out to all users in India as well as other countries.

The update which is 1.6GB in size comes with the build number MIUI 10.3.2.0.PDMMIXM and it's been rolled out  over-the-air. This update comes with the May 2019 security patch level, face unlock support for App lock, the ability to stay on the lock screen after using face unlock, and to restrict the opening of the notification shade on the lock screen. The update also includes a whole lot of bug fixes.

Optimization: We redesigned Mi Cloud’s start page. It looks much better now.
Even though the update is already being rolled out, remember that it will be done in batches so it might take some time before all users receive it.
