Download unofficial Orange Fox recovery project [R10.0] for Redmi Note 8 Pro (Begonia)

You can now download and install the OrangeFox custom recovery project for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro (Code name: Begonia). This isn't the official OrangeFox recovery for the Redmi Note 8 Pro but it however still gets the job done. It supports Miui, Treble/Non-Treble Custom Roms, and GSI.
OrangeFox recovery project is yet another custom recovery which is based on Twrp. It offers you all the features from Twrp and many more. It supports SuperSu, Magisk,and also comes with it's own theme engine with built in themes. To install this recovery on Redmi Note 8 Pro, you must be on MIUI 10 and it must be the one for your own region. You must also install the recovery through fastboot and not through any other recovery.

Note: Flash the recovery using fastboot only also make sure you are using MIUI 10 of your very own region like if its an Indian unit it has to be on MIUI 10 Indian firmware, flashing on different firmwares not for your unit could lead you to "HARD BRICK" !! Also don't try on MIUI 11 and if you did bricked please read below post how to get it fixed!

How to Install Twrp Recovery on Redmi Note 8 Pro (Begonia)
Requirements:
  • Unlocked Bootloader: Check out detailed guide Here
  • Adb/fastboot: Download Here
  • OrangeFox recovery for Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro (Begonia): Download from Here or Here

How to Flash/Install Twrp recovery on Redmi Note 8 Pro (Begonia)
  • Make sure your bootloader is unlocked or click on this LINK for guide
  • Install fastboot/ADB driver on your PC by clicking on this LINK
  • Download the OrangeFox recovery from this LINK or the link provided above 
  • Rename the downloaded orangefox image to twrp.img
  • Copy the downloaded Twrp file to any folder on your PC.
  • Inside the folder, hold down your shift key and right click on an empty space inside the folder.
  • Select Open command window here from the menu options.
  • Go to phone settings >> About >> Tap MIUI version 7 times
  • Go back to phone settings >> Additional settings >> Developer options >> Enable Developer options.
  • Connect your phone to your PC.
  • Then enter the command below and hit the enter key to reboot to fastboot mode
  •             adb reboot bootloader
                                    OR

  • Turn off your phone and reboot into fastboot mode manually by holding down the power button + volume down.
  • Input the command below and hit the Enter key to flash Twrp on your phone
  •             fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
  • After Installation, enter the command below to reboot your phone to recovery.
    •             fastboot boot twrp.img 




My device isn't turning on after flashing this recovery
  • Ans: Yes, It does brick some phones and the reason is still unknown we are currently working on the fix. If it shows Redmi logo then you are lucky it's just a loop try getting your device to fastboot mode using the combo or let your battery drain get to fastboot mode and flash stock ROM using Mi Flash.
