Xiaomi Redmi 9 now available in UK, Full specifications and price

The Xioami Redmi 9 was launched last moth July in China as one of the company's latest entry level smartphones. The phone is now available in the UK and it is currently going for a discounted price plus freebies.

The phone features a 6.53 inches Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels, a 394 PPI pixel density and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It runs on last year's MIUI 11 which is based on Google Android 10.

The Redmi 9 is powered by Mediatek Helio G80 12nm chipset with an Octa-core processor and Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The phone is available on two memory configurations which are 3GB RAM / 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM / 64GB internal storage. Both of which can be expanded through the dedicated SDcard slot.

The rear camera on the Redmi 9 is a Quad setup with a main 13 MP lens with f/2.2 and 28mm wide angle lens, an 8 MP 118˚ ultrawide angle lens, a 5 MP macro lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. In the front is a single 8MP lens which can shoot 1080p video at 30fps.

The phone has a massive 5020mAh battery with an 18W fast charger to go with it. It also comes with a rear mounted fingerprint reader, AI face unlock, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0. The phone is available in Carbon Gray, Sunset Purple, Ocean Green and Pink/Blue colour options.

Even though the phone is available in two memory variants, only the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant will be available for those in the UK.
