India, Europe, Turkey, Russia and Global MIUI 12 update for Redmi Note 7 / 7S (Lavender) and Redmi Note 7 Pro (Violet) [Update Status]

On April of those year, Xioami unveiled the latest iteration of its custom Android skin which is the MIUI 12.  The company also rolled out the China stable MIUI 12 in June.

As with every other Xioami updates, the company has the tradition of always rolling out stable updates to users in China first before other regions.

Even though MIUI 12 eligible devices have mostly received the update in China, a couple of other devices in regions like India, Turkey, Europe are all yet to get the update.

The Redmi Note 7 / 7S (Lavender) and the Redmi Note 7 Pro (Violet) were both launched in 2019 with Android 9.0 Pie based MIUI 11 out of the box, and even though most users have received the Android 10 update ,it is still based on MIUI 11.

The Redmi Note 8 pro (Begonia) is the only Note series smartphone from 2019 that have received the MIUI 12 update outside of China so far. Users of the Redmi Note 7 / 7S, Redmi Note 7 Pro and the Redmi Note 8 might however not have to wait much longer for the update as Xioami has already kicked off the MIUI 12 pilot beta testing in countries like India, Turkey, Russia , Europe and every other region outside of China.

This simply means all users outside of China will not have to wait much longer anymore as the stable MIUI 12 update is expected to start rolling out soon.
