Update: 28th, July 2021: Even though many Xiaomi devices including the Redmi Note 8 Pro in some regions are already receiving the latest MIUI 12.5 update, the India version of the Redmi Note 8 Pro Begonia is still based on the MIUI 12 with its latest V12.0.6.0.QGGINXM update with June 2021 Android security patch.

Update 01, March 2021: Xiaomi has just started rolling out a new India stable MIUI 12 update for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro with the build version number V12.0.4.0.QGGINXM and a new updated Android security patch.

 Finally, Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro users in India can also now enjoy the stable MIUI 12 version as the India stable MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro (Codename: Begonia) has gradually started rolling out to all users.

The update which comes with the software version number V12.0.1.0.QGGINXM is based on the Google Android 10 and it weighs in at around 2.0GB or 640MB for some users. Users will be getting all the latest features that the MIUI 12 has got to offer like the super live wallpaper, new gesture navigation, redesigned notification and status bar, improved dark mode and many more.

This is a phased update, so in case you haven't received it yet, you just have to exercise patience as it will be rolling out in batches.     How to Manually check for Android 10 OTA update on your Redmi Note 8 Pro
    Not all Redmi Note 7 Pro users are getting the Android 10 based MIUI 11 update yet. You can however still check to know if the update is available for your own device yet by following the instruction below.

    • Go to settings.
    • Tap on About phone >> System update.

    • click on Check for updates.
    • If you get No update available, then you have to either wait for the update to show up on your phone or download the ROM from the links below and follow the instructions HERE.to manually install the update.
